Birthday Party (Thatcher)

Saturday night we had a combined birthday party! We had cake, ice cream, cool red and green streamers (celebrating Christmas & Mexico), some Mexicans singing, and tons of friends stopped by.

Here's the birthday girls! Natalie, Cortney, and I. It wasn't technically anyones birthday, but we'll all be gone on our birthdays so we celebrated early.

Worst part of the night, Degen's gift aka swats! OWEEE!!! Look at that paddle! Yikes! He gave me two options: stand and take the swats, or get tackled and held to the ground by lots of guys and get even harder swats. I choose the first option.

Yes it hurt. Yes I screamed. Yes I got to sign that darn paddle afterwards. And yes Natalie and Cortney got the same gift, I just didn't get any pictures of them.
Oh did I mention how much I love Ashley! She's so kind and loving and would never, ever hit me! Wait...... I take that back.

Here's me, Ash, and Degen.

Here's all the mexican colony boys singing us awesome songs in spanish. We enjoyed it!

Axel, Dallin, Weston, and Kaleb. C-Face, TK, and Rachel enjoying the show.

And finally, here's our roomie shirts!
I <3

and Mexico. Audra, Ash, Nat, and TK

Weston came over earlier that day and we showed him our shirts. He asked us if we would make him one if he supplied the shirt. Of course we said yes! We even made one for Dallin as well, although he was way too hesitant to put his on. But we did get him into it finally and got a few pictures!
The girls w/ Weston The girls w/ Weston and Dallin!
Yes the guys' shirts say I <3 502 girls, as in our apartment number. We didn't realize that most people will read the shirts as i love five hundred and two girls and make the boys look like man-sluts. Whoops. WE had a great birthday party and a great saturday night!

Roomie Christmas

Saturday morning we had Christmas with all us roomies. We woke up bright and early (10:00 a.m.) and made pancakes with buttermilk syrup. Then we opened presents!

<----- Here's our lovely Christmas tree and our stocking.

This is our living room after opening presents and during the process of making t-shirts. My present to the girls were t-shirts and t-shirt glue so we could make roomie shirts.
Audra's present to us was mace, or pepper spray. She is very into guns, knifes, and safety. She also bought some rhinestones so we could bling up our cans! Loved it! PS, me and ashley look so pretty in this picture. Try not to be too jealous of our beauty.

Natalie, with the help of her mother, made us
these way cute note boards!!! LOVE THEM!

Here is a preview of our roomie shirts. They all say " I love pacman... and mexico." yes that is all inside jokes so it should not make any sense to you. OH and the 502 stands for us girls. We are the girls of Howard's apartment #502. I'll post pics from Saturday night with all us girls wearing our way awesome shirts!

Smiley face :)

I'm just barely blogging about Thanksgiving. Because I'm a college student and it's almost the end of the semester. Enough said. Over Thanksgiving break my padre took his girls out shooting! I was excited!

Here's Toe working hard. Check out her pants! I found those for her and guess what? They're too long! That has never happened before. They are 37 in. in the legs, wow! I love my extremly tall, skinny, and beautiful lil' sister. And here's Mami, our foreign exchange student from japan. It was her first time shooting. On our way out, she turned to me and said "I am excited, I just don't want to kill animals." I reassured her that our targets were pop cans and old targets. She seemed to enjoy herself after that!

And here's me showing off my mad shooting skills. Don't I look so excited?! Truthfully, I was excited to go out with my dad and work on shooting. I need to improve my skills so JD will be impressed :) I know i'll NEVER match his skills, but it's still good motivation.

I also had lots of quality time with the family! Especially my sisters. We figured out that we have not taken sister pictures since Toe was around the age of 3. So for your viewing pleasure, sister pictures!

Here's the one where we show you our pretty
triple chins.

Here's the one where Shady and Toe thought it would be cool to eat my face. I loved it, as you can tell.

Here we are trying to be normal

Here's the one where we show our appreciation for years and years of braces by showing all of our teeth. Aren't we pretty Mom?

Finally, here's the one where Dad got fed up with us being crazy and suggested that he take the picture while us girls smiled and stood still.

It was a great thanksgiving break!

snowed in

We got snowed in this morning. I even woke up Tawni and told her the news... she wasn't too happy, but she quickly got over it. Please go to Natalie's Blog to get the full story... it's a good one.

And for those of you who are wondering, i'm not necessarily too lazy to blog about this myself... but natalie had already blogged the whole story and i did not want her efforts to be in vain. So you may want to consider it thoughtful instead of lazy.

Dear Santa:

Dear Santa:

I've been really good this year. Sure I might have thrown a heat baby at Natalie last night and possibly locked Ashley and Audra out of the apartment one night, but I'll do better. I promise. My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I finally figured it out, hence the reason I am now writing you. Here's my Christmas wish list:

* Get my car worked on. Oil change, tires balanced, all that good stuff.

* Pay tuition. It would be great if you just left me a grand or so in my stocking...

* Upgrade my phone since my current phone only holds battery life for 2 hours max

* FOOD! I figure you can wrap up some food articles in pretty packages. I promise to look thrilled to bits when I open up pop-tarts and chocolate milk mix on Christmas morning!

Santa, I know you may be a little worried since I'm not asking for anything childish and fun. No worries, I'm trying to be a grown up now since I am no longer going to be a teen in a little under a month. But my 12 year old attitude still seeps in everyonce and a while. I give you exhibit A:

It's pretty, huh? I drew it during stake conference yesterday morning instead of listening to a talk. Sure the turkey was already on the paper, but I colored and shaded it beautifully and added lots of great stuff. I showed Ash, she laughed. I showed Nats, she shook her head. So I gave this beauty to Audra, she appreciates it.

Thankyou for listening to my rants Santa. See you soon!

Love TK

all is well

to all of you who were as worried and appalled as i was about audra's dislike of meet the robinsons, fret no longer! you see, rara (aka audra) can sometimes get a little confused... i don't know what movie she was thinking about when she said she didn't like meet the robinsons, but it definitely WASN'T meet the robinsons. what a relief. i was extremely worried for her. so we watched meet the robinsons on saturday and guess what?

she loved it. :)

coolest halloween surprise. ever.

tonight is halloween. no we did not dress up. couple of reasons
1. there was fall sing today at 2
2. there was a tailgate party today at 5
3. the homecoming football game was tonight at 6
4. it was a pretty busy day (in case you couldn't tell)
5. we didn't have any good ideas for costumes.

anyway, after the football game we went to a "block party" at goodman's apartments. (for those of you who don't know, goodman's houses only girls) that turned out to be super lame so we decided to go home and watch hercules. so we're chillin with good ole herc and we hear a knock on the door. we opened the door and saw... a door. on that door was a sign. "please knock." well, at first we were kinda worried. was this a trick? or just trick-or-treaters?" either choice would be disastrous since no one likes being tricked and we didn't have any candy for trick-or-treaters. we knocked nonetheless. the door opened and we saw two boys from our ward (sorry boys, but we don't know your names!) they were dressed up like little old grandma ladies. robes, rollers, and all. natalie told them that we didn't have any candy, but they just kept on jabbering, just like little old grandmas do. they were holding up a bowl with candy in it and it finally dawned on us. THEY WERE GIVING US CANDY. they gave us each a handful, told us that our costumes (pajamas) were marvelous, and advised us to have a safe and happy halloween. then their door closed and so did ours, and i almost died laughing. best halloween moment of 09. hands down.

ok here's the story. Natalies' cousin sara needed some practice for her photography business. she told nats that she needed some people who were willing to be models for a day and do a free photo shoot. huge sacrifice on our parts... ok not really. SO FUN! anywho, check us out. admire us. tawni and i will be in joe town this weekend if anyone wants a signed picture or anything.

Utah Trip

I went up to Utah last wednesday through saturday and had tons of fun! Dearest mother of mine is demanding that I post pictures from my adventure so here you go! They all uploaded in the complete wrong order and I'm too lazy to change it so you get my adventure in reverse. OH and some pictures are sideways. Yet again, I'm too lazy to change them, sorry.

Saturday afternoon, we hiked Mt. Timpanogos on a trail that lead us to Stewart Falls. It was GORGEOUS!!! we picked the best time ever to hike because the leaves are changing and falling and it was just breath taking. These pictures definately don't do it justice but at least you get an inkling of how beautiful it was!

On Friday, DJ took me up to Salt Lake City to see temple square since I've never been there!!! WHat a wonderful brother I have! Temple square is amazing. As soon as I set foot on the grounds I felt the spirit. I loved every second of it and everything I saw! I took a bizillion pictures, but I only put up a few. We saw about 7 weddings while we walked around the temple, Craziness!! It was very busy there since conference was the next day but I sure enjoyed my time there.

This is inside the Joseph Smith building. Stunning, isn't it?

I don't know the technical name for this door, so I shall call it amazing spinny fun revolving door. Anyways, me and Djee were just walking around when I was this door. I immediately stopped, snapped this picture, then grabbed Dj and went through the door. It was my very first time every walking through an amazing spinny fun revolving door!!!Later that night, we went to Red Robin and they had an awesome door too!!! Gosh, what a day!

I was able to get lots and lots of quality Holly and Tawni time!!! I love this girl so dang much! She's currently a BYU student and now lives 14 hours away from me!! Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time together!

I also had plenty of bonding time with my Djee!!!! I love my brother, and I'm glad that we were able to drive up to Utah together and get to hang out so much! He's such a goof and he always makes me very happy and hyper!

Andy joined in on the fun as well! haha He's so dang crazy! Andy + Holly= crazy, dramatic, over-excited, laugh so hard you cry weekend! Loved it!

I'm so grateful to have been able to go to Utah for a few days. This trip came at a great time for me and I was able to get my mind off of things and enjoy myself! I did, however, miss my roomies dearly!!!! I am glad to be back in T town and back with my roomies!!!!
